Cabling Tips

1

Using the Velcro strap on the back of each shelf
will keep all your wires in place. It is our recommendation to separate IR sensor cables, AC cables, video cables and audio cables. This will help reduce the possibility of noise transfer from one field source to another.

2

As you may have noticed, this system is limited. The power conditioners have ample room for expansion and having an Avräk will make adding or changing components very easy.

3

In the case of our Plasma Stand, we recommend loading the video and audio processors on one side.

4

Having the power conditioners on the other side of the Plasma Stand just makes the complicated job of wiring so much easier. There are only AC cables to go from one side to the other.

5

With the Tower we have mounted the AC power conditioners on the bottom of the rack. I use cable ties in conjunction with the Velcro strapping to hold the heavy AC cables in place.

6

As you can see we use cable ties to secure smaller AC wires.

7

Patch cords are easily held tight by cable ties and when used with the Velcro strapping really keeps them in place.

8

Here we are using the Velcro straps available in our AV Cable Kit to secure heavy bundles of wires. We have also used the cable conduit to keep wires together yet flexible.

9

Here we have taken extra time to pre-wire the connections for a multi-room speaker control to make the final installation easier.

10

Even taking the time to get "the lengths right" for the speaker cables on this 7.1 system makes final installation so much easier. By the way, we have also used the cable conduit to hold it all together and keep it flexible.

11

As with any system I set up I always put the heaviest components on the bottom. In this case it just happens to be a cable power stabilizer.
